In December 2002, The Tagoreans travelled to Kolkata to stage their second function at the Kalamandir. The program showcased a compilation of Tagore's songs and poetry based on the "Banshi" or flute. The programme was thus aptly named as Ogo Shono Ke Bajai". A sterling mark of the event was the felicitation of notable Bengalis who have helped the Tagoreans in their various programmes while touring London at the invitation of the Tgaoreans. The programme was heightened with the participation of the eminent Rabindrasangeet artistes of Kolkata accompanied by renowned dancers who are household names in India. The Tagoreans were honoured to have artsites like Swagatalakshmi Dasgupta, Pramita Mullick, Swapna Ghoshal, Bulbul Sengupta etc. in their midst who not only performed solos but also participated in the chorus as well. The programme was directed by Maya Sen.
The programme in December was divided into two parts - on the 10th December the members of the Tagoreans travelled to Shantiniketan to felicitate Mrs. Amita Sen at her residence. On 28 December 2002 The Tagoreans performed Ogo Shono Ke Bajai a a composite programme of Tagore songs, dances and recitations at Kalamandir, Kolkata on December 28, 2002. Dr. Anup Ghoshal and Dr. Somendranath Bandopadhyay were felicitated on that day.
