The noted Kolkata based reputed theatre group Nandikar recently toured London in August 2005. They presented their repertoire in two day performance at the Steiner Theatre starting on August 13th. Their showcase included plays like Shesh Sakshatkaar - a play by Vladlen Dozortsev, Barda - a play by Munshi Premchand and Pata Jhore Jyay - a play by Buddhadev Basu. The plays Shesh Sakshatkaar and Pata Jhore Jyay were directed by the noted playright and thespian Rudraprasad Sengupta, while the play Barda was directed by Goutam Halder.
Besides Rudraprasad and his wife Swatilekha the audience was treated to stunning performance by all the cast of Nandikar. The performance was well received by the knowledgeable crowd who filled the seats on both evenings. |
