| Felicitation of Sunil Gangopadhyay & Shankar - April 2009 |

The Tagoreans felicitated two legendary Bengali writers Sunil Gangopadhyay and Mani Shankar Mukherjee (popularly known as Shankar) on 19th April 2009 in the Jubilee room of the Indian YMCA in London. Both of these acclaimed authors had enthralled the audience by the interesting experiences of their literary careers.
The interactive session was enjoyed by the number of audience which had far exceeded the capacity of the room. This special event also incorporated illustrated talks "Kobi O Kadombari" composed by the Kolkata based writer/journalist Shankar Lal Bhattacharya to commemorate Tagore's sister-in-law Kadambari Devi's 125th death anniversary. The talks were interspersed with songs rendered by Indrani Bhattacharya and Dr Ananda Gupta. |
