The Tagoreans proudly presented a live performance by the noted Rabindrasangeet maestro Swagatlakshmi Dasgupta in September 2003. Swagata sang to a capacity crowd at the Commonwealth Institute, Kensington High Street, London W8 6NQ on September 6. Her melodious voice and rendering of the Rabindrasangeet entharalled the audience and had them spellbound for the entire evening. The programme was presented in two halves - while Swagata rendered Rabindrasangeet in the first half, she sang from her own compositions and from others as well. He also recited a ferw of her poems which she had penned recently.
Besides London - Swagata also performed at various locations in the UK - some of them are Glasgow, Scunthorpe and Leicester. All these programmes were arranged by the Tgaoreans. |
